Stop comparing him to Mikel. Even under Mikel you can see his football and identity with Chelsea it’s nonexistent. It’s go on the field and inshallah
@Kung Kung’z Similar to Potter imo,
I mean, Potter is doing more than changing tactics or players. He is changing the culture of the club as a whole. Small shift in the board from Boehly to Christopher Vivel might’ve helped him. And of course, the elephant in the room, the cutting off of “Petr Cech” and the arrival Vivel of is helping him tremendously. It’s not easy, and at the start of his managerial role, it seems qute impossible. But it shows that he doesn’t only have a goal, but also the confidence. It’s quite interesting to analyze the change as a whole, actually. Potter has this kind of small change too, and I don’t know if he have tried to implement them..
Very Similar……
@Billy Griggs Arteta literally worked with Pep who is arguably one of the greatest managers ever. Potter didn’t. Very similar Potter and arteta. And also money doesn’t guarantee success. I even doubt if the manager wanted half the players they bought. It was so obvious Chelsea didn’t scout mudryk it was arsenal. But honestly Potter is very similar to arteta
@Kung Kung’z oh so you want players to back him? Literally Enzo Fernandez did it. Arteta very similar to Potter
@Swanny94 no
Lmao are u sure? Mikel finished 8th, 8th, 6th! He went on long runs without winning, your whole fanbase wanted him out.
Hes capable of going on another long run without winning to bottle the league
At least with Arteta, despite the poor results, the vision was clear and the club’s direction was completely aligned with the manager’s philosophy. At Chelsea, Potter has demonstrated no vision and no strategy. It isn’t even clear how much influence he has exerted over the transfer incomings. He’s out of his depth and he’s making problems that admittedly predate his arrival, much much worse.
@Captain Giggles United played counter attack football when Ten Hag first came in. They are still forced to do so sometimes these days because United aren’t at the top yet.
The fans had patience because the vision was there.
Mikel Arteta is mikel Arteta
Graham Potter is Graham Potter
Graham Potter has to find himself as a coach and the habits of his time at Brighton must be shed 👀
Chelsea have owners that fundamentally don’t understand football. With Roman, the guy loved football, he put the right people in charge and oversaw everything. With Boehly et all they got rid of almost everyone associated with the old regime, even alienating the players by getting rid of the medical staff they trusted, and have just decided to throw a bunch of money at it, ignoring squad size, ignoring chemistry, ignoring system, ignoring fit, just pure FM moves
Correct 💯
You’re just making assumptions about transfers with nothing to back it up. What was the clear vision and club direction that Arteta had at the begining. People just say these things but its just hot air.
They have to find a way to score goals and win some games. Brilliant analysis.
Usual bollo#
😂
If Potter wasn’t English then pundits would want him out. Every week there’d new excuses. I hope Chelsea fans actually get a decent manager.
I can bet with my ✋ for you are so right
i dont think he would get the job in the first place
Mikel Arteta’s 2-0 win over Manchester United on New Year’s day of 2020 was evident where he wanted to take the club. We saw what he wanted to do at Arsenal. Graham Potter on the other hand has not had one game where he tried to implement his philosophy at Chelsea, most of his wins have been so scrappy and totally outplayed by the opponent. That may work for clubs like Brighton and Swansea but certainly not at clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea.
lol, Arsenal fans were calling for his head way after that. was only until last season when fans really starting believing
you’ve blatantly never seen Brighton play under Potter
Of course Arteta backs him. It’s easy 3 points every time they play Chelsea!
Hope things gets sorted out. Not easy but everything will get better in due time. Southampton fan.
Arteta is 3 years in his ENTIRE CAREER. Big difference potter has managed for a while and had 600 mil in 6 months to spend 2X as much as Mikel in 3 years
Can Kante’s recovery guarantee that Chelsea will return to their best performance? We know Chelsea have only won 2 times since being handled by Potter and that has had an impact on the team’s mentality😥
Arteta didn’t have the kind players Chelsea have now and also he won FA cup
Still absolutely mind blowing they sacked Tuchel for Potter
Yep. Tuchel was the real deal and they were one of the best teams in the league. The implosion has been very fast.
How many finals he played in short span as Chelsea coach? 5? and won CL!
Half the squad are lazy Champions League winners. The reason Mount was so good 2 years ago was his pressure and desire to prove himself. Everybody at Chelsea feels like they dont need to prove themselves other then the new signings
A top manager would soon remotivate them or ship them out if they’re beyond that.
Give him time we want to see them in Championship!!!
Time, time is all I have been hearing. All because he is English. Everyone always leaves out the fact Mikel won the FA Cup and won some big games with Arsenal and we all could see what he was building. Potter is overwhelmed, the players aren’t playing for him and has refused to start a striker despite having 2 strikers available to him. A new world class coach is needed for the so called Boehly project. Look at UTD and ETH!
Arsenal were in the mud for years before Arteta turned things around, we can’t lower our standards for “a project”. We should be progressing but we’ve been regressing the past months. Winning is just a dream now😥😥😥
Why are they always comparing Potter to Arteta? Arteta had a career at the highest level at Arsenal (with Wenger) as a player and then as an apprentice/understudy to Pep at Man City. Potter has a career in the Swedish league and mediocre teams in England, where there is low pressure lacking the mentality of having to win every game. Case in point: Tuchel when he came to Chelsea said I’m here to win some titles. While Potter said he was there to win some games.. 🤷♂
Arteta also bleeds arensal.
Potter couldn’t care less about chelsea
I think the reason Mudryk isn’t playing apart from GP not having a clue is because chelsea arent ready in their current state to be ready to work on a player like him
Potter is magic, Chelsea must keep him at all cost! 😉
Mikel is an elite manager, he is truly gifted
To be brutally honest with you I don’t think anybody knows what’s going wrong at Chelsea just now and that possibly includes the management and everybody else connected with the club,,I always thought potter would get time and a chance to get in a striker in the summer but with results so bad I’m not sure he will see out the remaining games
