Because Basketball isn’t that popular in England nobody recognises NBA players but they still know who MJ is whereas everyone of us knows who Muhammad Ali is alongside plenty of Boxers because Boxing is very popular in the UK.
Most parks across England got a basketball court and most times kids playing basketball. We have the grass roots of basketball but we never invested in the League or British NT.
