Most people think its a stretch but if they get a favourable draw I could definitely see Chelsea going far in the competiiton. Benfica, Milan and potentially Inter are all very beatable teams and knockout football is a lottery when 2 big teams play each other

@Tobius211x your football knowledge is very poor if you think those teams you mentioned can defeat Chelsea in this year’s champions league. The only way Chelsea can go out is if they meet Bayern or Real Madrid which is still a 50-50.

Chelsea won the UCL twice after two poor season overall. I wouldn’t be surprised if they win it again.

Although anything is possible from the semi finals. For the Quarters I think they need to draw One of the milan clubs (or porto) or Benfica to have a chance. Once the semis start anything can happen. Hopefully Kante will be fully fit aswell

Going back to a back 3 definitely has made a huge difference ,before Potter most of our goals was coming from wing backs and defenders on set pieces.

Lol they beat relegation fodder in Leeds and Leicester and all of a sudden they’re being discussed about winning the UCL. We weren’t even this bad in our worst season and even we didn’t get this much hype and favouritism.
If we won it this year it would be the most Chelsea thing ever. We did it in 2012 having sacked a manager and we did it in 2021 having sacked a manager. So we can do it in 2023 after sacking a manager. BTW before we do it I’m just going to wait for Fridays draw to see if we have been naughty or nice. Hope for benfica in the quarters so we can re live 2012 memories. But don’t want City or Napoli.

@Chelsea FC Napoli are a team I’d want to avoid IMO and I’d think AC Milan or Benfica are more winnable by right.

Players are getting back from injuries and are getting back to full fitness, could also be a factor.
GP yielded and went back to a back 3, but he’s still trying to get his back into the system slowly. I think in the last game game he made a sub a reverted to a back four and the team still played well.

We only win it when we’re rather poor in the league so were 50% of the way there. Potter just needs to draft in some big figures from the past to give inspirational dressing-room speeches
People forget the three in the back is what I’ve been crying for. Now with chillwell and Reece that system has always been important. Tuchel moved to three at the back and won champions. Potter is doing the same thing and it’s workin perfectly
About two weeks ago they were probably questioning if Potter was good enough for the job, now they’re saying he could win the Champions League.
From getting Potter sacked.. to Chelsea winning the Champion’s League..Rock on boy’z..up the Chel’s 💪💪
They have very strong depth to win UCL this season… it’s all depends on how good Potter manage their tactical and their morale…
