Newcastle United forward Miguel Almiron is set to be out for the next three weeks after suffering an injury in training, according to Paraguay manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto.
Almiron, 29, is Newcastle’s top scorer this season, and scored the winning goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
Until coming off the bench in that match, he had started Newcastle’s first 24 Premier League games of the season. Howe claimed that Almiron had been rested due to the “demanding” style of play.
